The Watercolor Society of North Carolina is presenting its 56th Juried Exhibition at Artspace in Raleigh from Sept. 30 through Nov. 10. It's an opportunity for North Carolina's best watercolor artists (2000's first place painting, "Sea of Green, Fisherman's Dream," by Russell Yerkes, pictured) to be included in a statewide touring exhibition and vie for cash awards and prizes. Louisiana's well-known painter and instructor, Judi Betts, will be the juror who selects the top paintings to receive over $7,500 in cash awards, inlcuding the $1,200 first place award.
