The roar of Clyde Jones' chainsaw and birthing of wooden critters will be at the Chatham Fairgrounds in downtown Pittsboro for the fourth annual folk art gathering, ClydeFest. The renowned Bynum artist plays host to more than 30 artists for a daylong music, barbecue, and kid's fun get-down. In recognition of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month, Jones created A Healing Heart exhibit; a collection of wooden heart cut-outs designed by survivors of domestic violence. At 5 p.m. Jones will transform log to wooden animal to be sold off at fest-closing auction. Bluegrasss from Tommy Edwards & Friends and a lot more happens Saturday April 30, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., $8/$2 12 and under. For more information visit www.chathamarts.org.
