The rap duo of Urban Myth and Chip transplanted from the Triangle to NYC in search of careers in film production and photography, but ended up making music. When they returned home, these one-time punkers were packing a goofy lyrical vibe reminiscent of the Beastie Boys. Over haunting, gothic synth fills and basic beats, they hope to make you "shit your pants" with their "Bass Tone," keep their "middle finger erect" on the spooky, G-vibing "Paradise," and offer advice for bling enthusiasts over the throttling breakbeats of "Please Don't Die in the Ice," whose bubbling industrial dance drive sounds cadged from Thrill Kill Kult. The EP's highlighted by "It Must Be Nice," which takes a nasty swipe at those who earned their money the old-fashioned way: inheritance.
