When: Sat., Aug. 12, 8:30 p.m. 2017

For five years, Craig Reed has used his Younger Brother Productions booking agency for plenty of one-off bills, but he's also steered the long-running Local Band Local Beer series and developed the daylong Music in the Gardens mini-festival at Raleigh Little Theatre. To celebrate the anniversary of the enterprise, he's put together another Pour House party. Topping the bill is the Ghostt Bllonde, promising a potent dose of surfy, lo-fi tunes. There's also Gray Young and Blanko Basnet, which both trade in complementary strains of cerebral rock music; where Raleigh's Gray Young goes for brooding introspection, Durham's Blanko Basnet veers toward a more airy approach. Kate Rhudy, who issued her debut LP, Rock 'N' Roll Ain't For Me, earlier this summer, sticks out a bit from these rock-inclined dudes, but her tidy, folksy tunes will shine nonetheless. —Allison Hussey
