Get to know the festival before you go

Ins and outs of Shakori Hills

There's camping, food, shopping, art and more at Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival of Dance and Music near Silk Hope, 20 minutes southwest of Chapel Hill. That's not to mention the four stages of music, which begins as early as 9 a.m. and runs well past the 2 a.m. nightclub curfew on Friday night with Barefoot Manner. Four-day passes range from $35 to $75 at the gate, and day passes range from $15 to $30. For more information and directions, see In the meantime, here's our selected schedule.
