In 2008's The Wrestler, Mickey Rourke, as Randy "The Ram" Robinson, bemoans '90s rock, lamenting, "That Cobain pussy had to come around and ruin it all." He probably would have loved this bill: Charlotte's FireHouse released its eponymous debut in 1991—the so-called Year Punk Broke—and cracked the Top 20 with the puffed-up pop-rock of "Don't Treat Me Bad" and the power ballad "Love of a Lifetime," and then with "When I Look Into Your Eyes," from their sophomore album Hold Your Fire. As time wore on, the band faded to big-in-Japan obscurity and now headlines above the long-running cover band Lexx Luthor. Driver opens. —Bryan C. Reed
