Exploring North Carolina’s Archaeological Heritage Through Remote Sensing and Geophysics

When: Sat., March 12, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. 2016

Professors from East Carolina University, UNC-Greensboro and Appalachian State University will join other experts to present sessions on how archaeological sites in North Carolina are using remote sensing — including ground penetrating radar, magnetometers and metal detectors. These methods and techniques locate and map subsurface natural and cultural features. Nine 25-minute sessions will be presented.
