Durham Then & Now: See Yourself in the Image Machine

When: Aug. 13-24 2013

Tom Whiteside leverages his Durham Cinematheque archive with Durham Then and Now: See Yourself in the Image Machine, which presents a fractured retrospection of the Bull City. The show includes material from 1937's Movies of Local People, 1939's Tobacco Land USA and 1948's Negro Durham Marches On. Whiteside will be on hand for this Wednesday artist talk, as well as for the Third Friday reception a few nights later. The exhibit runs through Aug. 24.—Chris Vitiello
