DUKE-CAROLINA: THE BLUE BLOOD RIVALRY

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 18, DURHAM

STADIUM 10 THEATERS, NORTHGATE MALL—For many of you, the Duke vs. UNC basketball rivalry is in your blood, absorbed as much as learned. But even though you can recite chapter and verse and recall every big play, sometimes it's nice to relive them on the screen. Of course, this screening's tone may take on a memorial aspect in light of the passing of legendary Coach Dean Smith last Saturday. The documentary explores the rivalry from the viewpoints of participants and superfans. A VIP ticket lets you meet former players such as Phil Ford, Kenny Dennard and Gene Banks before the screening at 7 p.m. (There's also food and an open bar.) Afterward, shuttles ferry fans to Cameron Indoor for the 9 p.m. tip. If you don't have a ticket, you can watch the game on the theater's 10 screens. If any seats are left over, the general public will be invited to watch for free. 5 p.m., $10–$90, 1058 West Club Blvd., Durham, 919-286-3840, www.dukecarolina.eventbrite.com. —Curt Fields

Price: $10-$90
