Drew Carey

When: Sat., Jan. 11, 8 p.m. 2014

Drew Carey has always been the happiest of campers. The proud Clevelander displayed a giddy, life-affirming exuberance even when he was the roly-poly, loserly lead on his own sitcom, The Drew Carey Show. So, it definitely didn't seem that weird when Carey took over as host of The Price Is Right in 2007 when longtime host Bob Barker stepped down after, like, a million years. For a show where the contestants are consistently turned up, bouncing off the walls like they're human balls of Silly Putty, it helps that the now svelte-as-hell Carey is boisterous enough to keep up with them. By the way, how many of you think Carey, who also presided over the American remake of the British improv show Whose Line Is It Anyway? in the late '90s and early aughts, is sorely needed now on the CW reboot? Although she's nice to look at, that cackling, awkward Aisha Tyler really ain't cutting it, man! —Craig D. Lindsey
