Daylight Savings Time Ends

When: Sun., Nov. 4, 2 a.m. 2012

Everywhere—When I'm not sweating the results of the presidential election, I'm dreading the inevitable six months of seasonal affective disorder that comes from the annual tradition of resetting the clocks so it's pitch black at 6 p.m. There's nothing quite like the vampiric lifestyle that comes from getting up and getting out of work under a midnight-black sky, combined with freezing cold and a general sense of isolation. The history of this is overly complicated, but I maintain they should just pick one time and stick with it. Also, as a filthy Democrat commie pinko liberal, I am legally obligated to make a joke about the country plunging into darkness if Romney is elected. Anyway: Vote! And set your clocks back an hour. That is all. —Zack Smith
