Cinderella | Raleigh Little Theatre | Stage | Indy Week

When: Dec. 9-18 2011

"Look behind you!" "Don't run in high heels!" "It's midnight ... run!" No, it's not the audience shouting at the most recent Texas Chainsaw Massacre installment, it's the annual local pantomime featuring the scullery diamond in the rough, Cinderella, and her wicked stepkin as she finds her true love in Prince Charming. In true panto tradition, the audience is encouraged to vocally participate in the show: Yes! Tell your kids to talk, laugh, shout, giggle and just have fun doing naughty things in the theater. (Say that Santa's looking the other way for an hour or so.) Friday's 7:30 p.m. opening performance is followed by 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. shows on Saturday and Sunday, with another round of shows Dec. 15–18. All tickets are $25. —Christina Cass
