Bull City Rumble

When: Sat., Sept. 1, 1:30 p.m.-12 a.m. 2012

Have you been craving something hot and throbbing between your legs? Then mount the 8th annual Bull City Rumble. Organized by TonUp North Carolina, a nonprofit advocating for all things vintage motorcycle, the rumble benefits Preservation Durham, a local nonprofit devoted to protecting the Bull City's historic assets. Spend the afternoon in the Casbah lot checking out vintage rides—motorcycles with a café racer twist and classic scooters from all over the planet—and hoot and holler as they rev it up for a rally. There'll be food, a swap meet, tech sessions and vendors leading up to a raffle drawing. Then rock the evening away inside the club with Kelley & the Cowboys (from Mt. Airy); the Swang Brothers (from Chapel Hill); the Straight 8s (from Hillsborough); and American Speedway (from Philadelphia). The bike show and rally are free to spectators and run 1:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m.; the bands play from 5 p.m. to midnight, with the $7 cover going to Preservation Durham. Splurge on a full pass ($20 advance, $25 at the event) for a killer T-shirt and poster, band access and a raffle ticket. —Chris Vitiello

Price: $7-25
