Divya (Kareena Kapoor) doesn't think she needs Lovely Singh (Salman Khan) to be her bodyguard. She fusses, teases and flirts, until she realizes he can, and must, protect her. It's a Salman movie, which means there are extravagant action scenes, plenty of bicep flexing and riotous dance numbers ("Desi Beats" is also Lovely's ringtone, and will follow you out of the theater). Salman is really the only mainstream Bollywood star still 100 percent committed to the classic masala action/ romance/ comedy/ music formula. Still, he's on the far side of 40 and he seems to realize that his hero days are numbered, so he can cut loose and relax, without worrying too much about protecting the brand. There should have been one more song, and much less of Tsunami, his portly comic relief sidekick, but since this hit film is virtually critic-proof it's pointless to quibble.
