Chicken? Good. Waffles? Yes, please. Combine them with hazelnut syrup and chocolate shmear? Delicious. It’s what I imagine a five-year-old would make for dinner if given gourmet training.
They offer classic fried chicken and waffles with hot sauce and syrup along with fancier items, which include blueberry and sweet potato pancakes, shmears made with fresh fruit and grilled chicken.
As Bull City Rising reports, Dame’s is having a “soft opening” for lunch. The restaurant’s website, www.dameschickenwaffles.com, is yet to launch. Meals are a bit pricey, $10 to $12 on average, but come with a side and a unique experience.
