"It feels pretty awesome to have a band and a group of people who want to get together every year around the holidays," says Big Fat Gap's Miles Andrews. He's been celebrating with that cadre for a dozen holiday seasons. "Over the years, we've had 25 or so members, and a lot of them have gone on to do a lot of fun things, so it's really fun to get all the guys back together."
For this 13th round of holiday cheer, Big Fat Gap will welcome back original members Andy Thorn (now with Leftover Salmon), Jon Stickley (of the Jon Stickley Trio) and Bobbie Britt (of Town Mountain). Local Americana outfits Deep Chatham, Mipso, Mason's Apron and The Ayr Mountaineers also will be on hand. As for Andrews? He'll just be keeping steady time and showing off on his acoustic bass while enjoying the camaraderie and music of the holiday. "It's going to be a lot of fun," he assures. —Ashley Melzer
