Balazs Pandi, CxFx, TJ Maiani & Crowmeat Bob

When: Tue., June 26, 9:30 p.m. 2012

Cheezface's shredded hard electronica mixes industrial clatter and clang with grinding fuzz and digitalized percussion. What was Bryan Stancil's solo project is now a three-piece band—billed as either Cheezface or CxFx—pushing the same aggressive music that I can't listen to without scaring the baby. This is the tour kickoff for the deviant techno-punk's weeklong stint with electro-Hungarian drummer Balázs Pándi, whose work adds jazz phrasing and metal rumble to breakbeat electro (or the inverse, when he backs heavy bands). These tourmates share a penchant for scattered, freeform aggression. TJ Maiani and "Crowmeat" Bob Pence open the 9:30 p.m. show, which costs $5. —Corbie Hill
