Thirteen years after Jason Biggs famously defiled pastry onscreen, he and the full-cast complement of American Pie
reunite for the first time since the 2001 sequel. Jim (Biggs), Michelle (Alyson Hannigan), Oz (Chris Klein), Stifler (Seann William Scott) and the rest of the gang return for their high school reunion, an occasion that essentially acts as the conduit for their chronic and varying degrees of arrested development. The ex-classmates really haven't changed much: Scatology and other assorted gross-out gags are plentiful, and of course there are embarrassing revelations and plot-propelling mishaps and miscommunications. It's all apropos of nothing, as the real reason for this Reunion
is a last chance to milk the movie franchise cash cow. Fans of the original will smile and even chuckle in recognition. But like most post-high school gatherings, this one's a nostalgia rush that quickly fades.
