Aesop’s Fables

When: Sat., Jan. 26, 11 a.m. 2013

Instill values into your younguns with whimsical-yet-vaguely-depressing-and-sometimes-traumatizing tales of animals learning valuable lessons about grapes, bones, grass being greener and so forth in this production from Asheville's Bright Star Touring Theatre aimed at the Pre-K to elementary set. It's 45 minutes, so it should sustain most screaming youngsters' ADD-ravaged attention spans and hopefully allow you to shuffle them out of there before they can start asking questions like, "Why would a fox eat grapes anyway?" Tickets for the 11 a.m. show are $9 for adults and $7 for children; a family four-pack is $28. —Zack Smith

Price: $7-9
