The Lockridge Artists Holiday Art Show
The Lockridge Artists are celebrating their 20th anniversary with an art show in the Lockridge Community in Chapel Hill on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 11, from 1 to 5 p.m. The work exhibited during the show will include hard and soft sculpture ("Oxford Heads," soft sculpture by Shirley Frey McConahay, is pictured above), art quilts, paintings, garden ornaments, fused and stained glass, rare-wood sculpture, and more. The artists are collaborating with Art for Indigenous Survival to bring two Lakota artists, Eugene Swift Hawk and Shawn Zimiga from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, to exhibit their work.
