A Trailer Park Christmas

When: Dec. 9-23 2012

The Postal Code warned Jolene about snow, rain and gloom of night, of course. Still, it didn't saynothin'about no hurricanes. Loraine almost has that coveted collection of Legends of the Grand Old Opry spoons finished, but a tragic high school incident might prevent her from singing her way to Dollywood to complete the set. And though peace has long reigned between the Dodsons and the Husseys of the greater Whispering Pines Trailer Park vicinity, everybody being cooped up in a doublewide during a tornado might just strain the era of good feelings a bit.

Jeffrey Moore, Rachel Klem and the usual gang of misfits take audiences back for their fifth Christmas season way out in West Durham, in a broad (and interactive) holiday satire every bit as cheesy as the Doritos-and-spray-on-dairy-like-substance hors d'oeuvres served (at no extra charge). Be sure to try the punch, too. The show runs Thursdays–Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. through Dec. 23. —Byron Woods

Price: $15-17
