A Place to Bury Strangers, Bleeding Rainbow

When: Sun., Oct. 28, 9 p.m. 2012

It's doubtful that A Place to Bury Strangers will ever abandon the shoegaze industrial complex that's been their M.O. since first plugging in one of their homemade effects pedals. So if you hear buzz about the group's newest album, Worship, being a "departure" from previous offerings, don't worry that they've forgotten how to make their guitars sound like futuristic concrete saws. They're just slightly de-emphasizing their signature six-string attack to let the songs—you know, those word-loaded things hiding behind the noise—breathe a bit. In a live setting, it's all but guaranteed that folks looking for a little APTBS-flavored eardrum trauma will get everything they've ever wanted. Bleeding Rainbow opens at 9 p.m. —David Raposa

Price: $10-12
