A "New Look"

When: Sept. 30-Nov. 30 2010

ChathamArts is no longer exclusive. They're now showcasing works from artists across North Carolina, not just from their eponymous county. The gallery exhibits three artists based within the state for the next two months, using "place" as the overarching theme. Siglinda Scarpa is a potter who takes inspiration from the Italian mountains near her childhood home. Roy Lindholm works primarily in photography, employing a method of "what would I like to see?" to determine his subjects. Florence Johnson paints in watercolors, with a focus on barns and their various structures. These three artists aren't the only ones showing off new work; the recently renovated display space also makes its debut. —Sarah Ewald
