919Noise Showcase: Clang Quartet, Knives of Spain, Mall Church, Lost Trail, Small Life Form, The Sound of Square Triangles, Bryce Eiman

When: Fri., Dec. 12, 8:30 p.m. 2014

919Noise is a varied and strange organizational beast. Consider this smartass Christmas show. The seven acts run the gamut from Greensboro’s Knives of Spain, whose nightmare songcraft evokes an unhinged Tori Amos, to solo Christian harsh noise act Clang Quartet. Bynum’s Bryce Eiman, one of the Triangle’s noise anchors, brings focused drones and tone worship. If you’re curious about dissonance, here’s a sampler; if you’re already into it, here’s a holiday feast. —Corbie Hill
