120 Minutes, Chit Nasty

When: Wed., Dec. 31, 9 p.m. 2014

Step into the future by partying to the sounds of your past: As the name suggests, 120 Minutes plunders the hits of Gen X, from commercial mainstays like Pearl Jam and Beck to less-enduring bands like Eve 6 and Lit. The cover band, which includes members of I Was Totally Destroying It and Unifier, can even bend toward Britney Spears and Spice Girls. Chit Nasty, the leader of the local funk renegades that take his name, plays short solo piano sets throughout the night. —Grayson Haver Currin
