Colony Theater—Bland Minne-SO-ta everyman Jerry Lundegaard (William H. Macy) becomes a lot less vanilla when he colludes with two criminals to kidnap his wife for ransom money. But things quickly unravel, beginning with a tussle between Jerry's wife, Jean, and her hapless kidnappers (Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare). Joel and Ethan Coen's off-kilter comic tale led to awards for Joel for direction and also an Oscar for the brothers for original screenplay. Coen regular Frances McDormand rounds out the cast as pregnant police chief Marge Gunderson, in what some feel is still the Coens' greatest film. The show begins at 8 p.m. and tickets are $5.
