Chapel Hill
Beer Y'all with Jason Kutchma and Stuart McLamb

Local 506—The travelogue Beer Y'all documents a North Carolina mountains-to-coast microbrewery crawl undertaken by a group of 20-somethings (many of them local musicians) with an eye on profiling the crews behind the best of those brews. Thus, it's fitting that the documentary has undertaken a crawl of its own, hitting various microbreweries and music venues for screenings in an effort to get the word out. Music is another major ingredient of the doc, so it's fitting that the screenings tend to come with musical support. At this stop, Red Collar's Jason Kutchma and The Love Language's Stuart McLamb offer an acoustic soundtrack. The festivities start at 8:30 p.m., and $5 gets you in. Durham
Valarie Schwartz

The Regulator Bookshop—In her new book, Remembering Chapel Hill: The Twentieth Century as We Lived It, Texas native and Carrboro Citizen columnist Valarie Schwartz commemorates the citizens of Chapel Hill who made the city, as she claims, "the Southern part of Heaven." This tribute to Chapel Hill's outstanding denizens, such as the World War II veteran who became UNC system president and the couple who built the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra, is filled with stories of struggle and success. Schwartz will sign and discuss her book at 7 p.m. For more information, visit www.regulatorbookshop.com. —Belem Destefani
