TheatreFest: Murder on the Nile

When: Wednesdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m. and Sundays, 3 p.m. Continues through June 19 2010

"TheatreFest returns and it's murder!" screams the text atop N.C. State's University Theatre home page. Actually, it's Christie, Agatha Christie. The iconic mystery writer serves as the inspiration behind each of TheatreFest's three dramatic outings. Based on Christie's 1937 novel Death on the Nile, the festival's second offering concerns a newlywed couple taking a cruise on the Nile for their honeymoon. Complications arise when the new wife, Kay, realizes her ex-BFF is stalking her husband. But they're in a confined space, what's the worst that could happen? It's murder! Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and students and $5 for State students. Performances run through June 19. For more information, visit —Sarah Ewald
