I also start to itch every time I read or see something regarding bed bugs. The only thing I found not only horrible but a bit interesting was this infographic: http://www.pantherpestcontrol.co.uk/news/infographic-curious-facts-about-bed-bugs/

These numbers are low. We had bed bugs last year in 27604, but I didn't know we were supposed to report it.

Also, Diatamaceous Earth is how you get rid of them. Worked for us. No need to spend $$$ on exterminators.

The NCSU Department of Entomology has detailed information about identifying and treating bedbugs.

I'm stunned by the figure listed for our zip code!
Eeeeek... We'll be extra careful to make sure any guests to our home are invited guests.

Oh God. Horrible. People, do NOT take used furniture, suitcases, or bedding of any type. Ever. Inspect hotel rooms before unpacking ur items. Better to have to get something new, cheap, and crappy at Wal-Mart that's bedbug free than to have your home destroyed by these disgusting pests!
