She reads from The Wet Collection, which contains essays inspired by her summer jobs as a park ranger, at 11 a.m. —Kathy Justice

Hillsborough Road Co-Op—From the Hillsborough Road folks who provided skill-sharing sessions like mud wrestling, beer brewing and caring for a chicken (slaughter chicken, cook chicken, eat dinner) comes Freakshow, a circus of food, unicycles, juggling and slightly freaky music. Expect punkish anti-folk by dan mac and the bullet, rock bouts from The Bronzed Chorus and jazz-influenced folk from harmute. Also: Marijuana Wolf, Remora, Irata and a Blondie cover act. The event runs 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. A donation of $5-$10 is requested. —Margaret Hair
