Rusted Root, The Rosebuds, Chatham County Line

Lincoln TheatreNow in its ninth year of supporting charities both local and global, Band Together again combines a national headliner with a strong undercard of local talent on the Lincoln Theatre's Street Stage: Rusted Root—a jammy Pittsburgh septet known best for mid-'90s single "Send Me On My Way"—is this year's national draw. Though the band's latest efforts have slicked down its earthy vibe, slightly funky grooves fueled by tribal percussion occasionally poke through the sheen. Luckily, both openers get lengthy slots: As reigning kings of the Triangle's rich Americana scene, Chatham County Line wraps savvy songwriting and sharp bluegrass instrumentation around rock, pop and country gospel influences. Meanwhile, The Rosebuds' search for indie pop perfection came to a head on last year's Life Like, where the sophisticated, harmony-soaked arrangements swing from chipper to forlorn. (They're also playing at Duke Gardens at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 10.) Though it's supporting The Lucy Daniels Center for Early Childhood—the Triangle's largest nonprofit provider of children's mental health services—the $20-$25 benefit is only for ages 21 and up. The show begins at 6 p.m., and Greg Humphreys' Hobex plays the 11 p.m. after party inside the Lincoln. —Spencer Griffith
