Outsiders' 3-Year Anniversary

When: Thu., Nov. 8, 5-9 p.m. 2012

One of Durham's key nodes of weirdness is turning 3, and no one would put it past Outsiders Art Gallery owner and Arts Indies award winner Pam Gutlon to skewer the roof with three giant candles or frost the entire Victorian house on Iredell Street. Confirmed anniversary party doings include an opening of nationally renowned artist Cher Shaffer's work, an all-ages art project at Happymess Studios upstairs, a free Fullsteam beer and RISE donut to the first 200 guests and hot, live music from Katharine Whalen, the Blue Tailed Skinks, Phil Cook & His Feat and others. Only Burger and KoKyu trucks will fill your belly if a doughnut and beer aren't enough. The $10 ticket benefits Student U. The event runs 5–9 p.m. —Chris Vitiello

Price: $10
