Nesting Behavior

When: Oct. 26-Nov. 8 2012

The fascination with animal behavior has spawned vast fields of study and entire television networks. Nesting Behavior is a themed group show bringing together work by eight artists exploring the physical and psychological facets of animal and human living environments. Woodworker Maryah Smith-Overman and photographer Ben Barry came up with the idea for this show, which includes blacksmith Erin Hammeke, printmaker and mail artist Jessica Kemp, interdisciplinary artist and performance maven Stacey Kirby, photographer Alix Blair, painter Steve Walls and multimedia artist Ann Woodard. Friday's opening reception runs 7–10 p.m.; the show continues through Nov. 8. —Chris Vitiello
