Two Dollar Pistols and Trailer Bride

It's honky-tonk heaven this Thursday, Dec. 13, when local country faves the Two Dollar Pistols and Trailer Bride hit the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro. If you listen to WXYC or WXDU, you've probably heard the Pistols' new single, a heartfelt version of The Man in Black's "Blistered," with frontman John Howie's deep baritone a-rumblin' like a freight train. Featuring a new lineup that's hotter than a, well, $2 pistol, these guys wear the tallest cowboy hats in town. Trailer Bride, as purely Southern as hoe cakes and molasses, features the spooky, hillbilly-noir musings of singer-songwriter Melissa Swingle and her crack band. Trailer Bride just keeps getting better--check out their latest Bloodshot release, High Seas. Call 967-9053 for details.
