SARK
Regulator Bookshop—Susan Ariel Rainbow Kennedy (better known as SARK) wrote her first book when she was 10, but didn't publish a book until 35. Now with her 15th, she is helping others to take up the pen and let the words flow. Juicy Pens, Thirsty Paper: Gifting the World with Your Words and Stories, and Creating the Time and Energy to Actually Do It offers not only encouragement, but fun exercises that get the words out of the mind and onto the page. Samples include: writing the worst, most boring paragraph you can imagine; listing the reasons you don't feel like writing; and interviewing a future fabulous writer self. Written and illustrated in her distinctive colors and black pen ink, SARK whimsically celebrates the joy in life and the words used to capture it. She will be presenting an interactive writing workshop based on her new book, and audience members will get chances to write, play games and share their creations. Event starts at 7 p.m. —Jessica Fuller
