mama do:
by Kim Arrington

this is your third jumping
from loom to loom

and your damp fire
seems to keep the air
expecting

if kodak is right

held together
with sparking
twine and a clammy
laurel of forget-me-nots

if she even retains the berlin wall

inside your stomach
adjacent to your
heart is where
gunpowder
dozes only
wid /1/ eye
shut

in tiananmen square
square-pupiled with
a tank

crooked-hanged
thunderclaps
or milling impatient
blurry novembers

the white chapel
needs to chop
a memo.
