Lobotomy Fest with Up The Irons, Richard Bacchus & the Luckiest Girls, Shotdowns, Southern Hostility, Of Whisky & Blood, KIF, Mumu Tutu, Bamfs

When: Sat., Dec. 3, 6 p.m. 2011

This mini-fest boasts eight bands for $3, the sort of punk marathon that might be called a showcase, though its length ensures only the die-hards stand the duration. Attendees would be wise to stick it out through Richard Bacchus & the Luckiest Girls; the current band of the former D-Generation guitarist provides a polished, veteran mix of New York Dolls glam and Clash-style rock 'n' roll. This gathering also includes street punk from the Shotdowns, Southern Hostility, Americana-tinged punk from Of Whiskey And Blood, KIFF's Kiss-meets-GWAR hard rock and the ragged '77 punk of Mumu Tutu and the Bamfs. Oddly, Iron Maiden tribute band Up the Irons headlines. The show starts at 6 p.m. —Bryan C. Reed
