Jeff Skinner Bobblehead Night

When: Mon., Nov. 14, 7 p.m. 2011

Skinnermania: Season 2 continues as the Carolina Hurricanes give away bobblehead dolls of their sophomore star, winger Jeff Skinner, to the first 10,000 fans at their game with the Philadelphia Flyers. Sporting a suit rather than a No. 53 sweater, the bobbleheaded Skinner commemorates his crowning achievements last season. Skinner earned the National Hockey League's Calder Trophy for the best rookie player of the year; he's the first Carolina player ever to receive that honor. Skinner has picked up right where he left off last season, leading the team in scoring with six goals and six assists in the team's first 12 games. But the Flyers are no chumps, brewing a chemistry experiment between Claude Giroux and the enigmatic Jaromir Jagr, who skates on Raleigh ice for the first time since a three-season stint in Russia's Kontinental Hockey League. For a chance to win tickets to the 7 p.m. game or buy tickets for $25 and up, check carolinahurricanes.com to identify the bobblehead's location in pictures around Raleigh. —Chris Vitiello
