Is He Dead?

When: Oct. 22-Nov. 13 2010

With Mark Twain's unexpurgated autobiography to be published soon, one of America's most beloved authors is due for yet another critical re-evaluation. So it's only fitting that Deep Dish would put on Is He Dead?, the long-buried Twain play only officially published in 2003. Twain heads far east of the Mississippi for this satirical look at starving painter Jean-Franois Millet, who fakes his own death to send the price of his paintings through the roof; cross-dressings and other misunderstandings follow.
