Those old toys crowding your attic or garage may be worth more than you think. This knowledge is what's fueling the current Antiques Roadshow phenomenon on public television, and why the International Toy Collectors Association's Toy Roadshow is equally appealing. If you are looking to get rid of your Barbie dolls, race cars and Tonka trucks, this toy appraisal event will be held Wednesday and Thursday, March 22 and 23, in Raleigh. Members of the ITCA will be on hand to hook you up with folks who could purchase your vintage robots, space toys, musical instruments and the like, while also providing you with detailed histories of each item. The event, which began on Tuesday, March 21, will continue at the Days Inn North, 2805 Highwoods Blvd., from 8 a.m to 7 p.m. Call (217) 636-8012 for more information. --Clancy Nolan
