BENEFIT FOR THE LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA SOCIETY
CAT'S CRADLE—In the midst of a stellar autumn lineup, the Cradle pauses again to maintain its philanthropic streak. Tonight's benefit for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society joins together artists who call or called Carolina home—locals Big Fat Gap and UNC's Clef Hangers with current Nashville resident Thad Cockrell and New York upstart Brendan James. Donations of $10 get you in at 8:30 p.m. —Kathy Justice

VARIOUS VENUES—Tonight's Third Friday runs from 4-10 p.m., with music and exhibits scheduled at eight Durham venues that will feature work by Omnus Art, Karima Abdusamed and Ann May Woodward, Rex Miller and others.
