Cappadonna, SympL & Coach K, 1100 Hunters, Alpha Male Society, Fallen Anghellz, iCypher

When: Sun., March 17, 10 p.m. 2013

Cappadonna first earned his honorary Wu-Tang Clan degree in 1996 when he stole the show from Ghostface Killah and Raekwon on "Winter Warz," from the Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood soundtrack. Cappadonna subsequently appeared alongside Raekwon on the cover of Ghostface Killah's Ironman LP as if he would be an integral part of that album. He played a minor role, but his Wu-Gambino name (Cappuccino) loudly pinged before his verse on Ironman's "Daytona 500," which ultimately became a Wu-Tang classic. Thanks to those footnotes, Cappadonna is recognized as the unofficial 10th member of Wu-Tang. On his new double-CD Eryth, Wynd, and Fyre, Cappadonna might not sound like he's ready for a real throwdown, but maybe live—surrounded by the energy of young openers including SympL, Coach K, 1100 Hunters, Alpha Male Society, Fallen Anghellz—he'll find his ferocity again. —Eric Tullis
