10 by 10 in the Triangle

When: Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m. and Sundays, 3 p.m. Continues through July 21 2013

What:

All a good play needs is characters, a conflict and a narrative arc. You don't need two hours, or even two acts, to do that. For the 12th year, the ArtsCenter proves this point, championing the art of short, punchy theater with its international festival of new 10-minute plays from playwrights all over the country. This year, the festival received more than 750 scripts, culling through the submissions to pick gems including My Name is Yin by San Francisco playwright Tom Swift and Zero Mile Mark from Pittsburgh-based Carol Mullen. Keeping with the numerical theme, 10 guest directors and 10 actors make up the ensemble and production team. —Emma D. Miller
